AnyVoice turns Swedish text to speech in seconds — free, no account, nothing stored. Paste your text with å, ä and ö, pick a male or female voice, and download the MP3. It reads text aloud; it does not transcribe audio.
Every voice here speaks Sweden Swedish, so the real choice is the job: a podcast intro wants a different voice than a course module or an audiobook chapter.
The free voices run on the engine at the top of this page. Studio voices add emotion and stability controls. Tap play for a sample, or tap a free voice to load it into the generator.
Two clear standard-Swedish voices — one female, one male — you can use right now without an account.
Calm, measured voices with steady pacing for long reads, documentaries and audiobook chapters.
Clear, unhurried voices that keep numbers, dates and compound words easy to follow — good for SFI practice.
The studio adds 4 premium Swedish voices for narration and teaching. Open the premium Swedish voices
Use this voiceNo installs, no account. Swedish letters, kronor amounts and the odd English brand name all go in the same box.
Drop your script into the editor at the top of the page. Keep the Swedish letters as they are and end sentences with a full stop — the voice pauses on punctuation, not on line breaks.
Swedish writes compounds as one word, and the voice reads them as one word with one stress. Split them — the classic särskrivning — and you get two words, two stresses and sometimes a different meaning.
Open the voice picker and choose by use: narration for long reads, teaching for courses and explainers. Every voice speaks standard Sweden Swedish, so pick by tone and pace rather than region.
Swedish narration is comfortable at 1.0×. Ads and social clips can run at 1.05–1.1×; drop to 0.8× for learners who want to hear every vowel length and every pitch accent.
Press Generate, play the result, and hit download. The file lives only in your browser — nothing is uploaded to our servers.
Use the text to speech MP3 converter for longer passages, or open the full studio for premium voices and WAV export.
About 10.5 million people speak Swedish — most in Sweden, and roughly 289,000 in Finland, where it is a constitutionally official language spoken by 5.2% of the population. Almost all generated audio is standard Sweden Swedish.
Swedish text to speech lives on pitch and length more than region. The standard sets the sound, the two tone accents carry meaning, and the regional varieties sit outside what any engine offers.
Standard Swedish, based on Stockholm and the Mälaren valley, is what news, audiobooks, courses and customer lines use across the country. Every voice on this page speaks it, which is the safe choice whether your audience is in Stockholm, Malmö or Helsinki.
Finland Swedish keeps the same spelling but drops the tone accents and gives the sj-sound a sharper edge. There is no Finland Swedish voice here; a Sweden Swedish reading is fully understood in Finland, and most Finnish organisations use it.
Scanian speech in the south uses a back r and diphthongs, Gothenburg has its own melody, and Norrland runs flatter. None is offered as a voice; write dialect words if you like, but expect a standard reading of them.
This page reads Swedish. If you want English spoken with a Swedish accent, that is a different tool. English words inside a Swedish sentence — YouTube, podcast, brand names — are read the way Swedes say them.

A voice reads what you wrote, not what you meant — and Swedish hides meaning in tone, vowel length and a decimal comma. Before you run Swedish text to speech on a script, check these five things.
anden · tomten · burenaccent 1 or accent 2, by contextSpelled the same, anden is the duck with accent 1 and the spirit with accent 2; tomten is a plot of land or the Christmas gnome. The voice picks the tone from the words around it — give it a full sentence, not a bare word.
glas · glass · tak · tacklong a · short a · long a · short aA single consonant after the vowel means a long vowel, a double one means short: glas is a glass, glass is ice cream. Keep the double letters — drop one and the word changes.
1 234 000 kr · 12,50 kren miljon tvåhundratrettiofyratusen kronor · tolv och femtioSwedish groups thousands with a space and uses a comma for decimals. Write kr or kronor after the amount and the voice reads kronor and öre the way a Swede would.
25 augusti 2026 · 25:e · 14.30tjugofemte augusti tjugohundratjugosex · tjugofemte · fjorton och trettioThe year is read tjugohundra-, the ordinal takes a colon, and clock times use a full stop. The ISO form 2026-08-25 is everywhere in Sweden; for the smoothest reading, write the month out.
mejl · podcast · nagelsaxSwedish readings, one stress per compoundAdapted loanwords keep their Swedish spelling — mejl, dejt, sajt — and unadapted ones like podcast and app are read the Swedish way. Compounds and particle verbs carry one stress: köra om is overtaking, köra is just driving.
Keep compounds as one word, keep double consonants, use a decimal comma, write kr on every amount and the month out in dates. Five habits, and most misreadings disappear.
Four jobs people bring to this page every day.
Sweden is a podcast country: 55% of Swedes listened in 2025, and YouTube now reaches 52% on an average day — more than linear TV. Write the script in du-form, drop the MP3 into CapCut or any editor, and publish.
A product tour, course or notice in plain du-form Swedish lands the way a Swedish team would have written it. One Sweden Swedish voice covers both markets, and Finnish organisations often pair it with a Finnish version.
Around 115,000 people studied Swedish for immigrants in 2024. Paste a passage, slow it to 0.8×, and read along — vowel length, pitch accent and the year read as tjugohundra-. Listening practice is the part most learners skip.
Sweden's DOS-lagen covers public-sector sites, and the European Accessibility Act has applied to private services since 28 June 2025. Audio versions of notices, forms and articles are an easy first step.
